The 2018 Pinot Noir Platt Vineyard comes from a site on the Sonoma Coast and saw 15-20% stems, which make an appearance on the nose, with lots of stem and forest notes balanced by terrific spice, redcurrant, and blackberry fruits. Medium to full-bodied and beautifully textured, with both elegance and richness, drink this classic Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir over the coming decade.
94+ Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate (July 2021)
Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2018 Pinot Noir Platt Vineyard bursts from the glass with a head-turning perfume of chocolate-covered cherries, violets, pomegranate and black raspberries, plus suggestions of Sichuan pepper and powdered cinnamon. The medium to full-bodied palate is beautifully plush with a racy line of freshness to lift the intense red and black berry layers, finishing with fantastic length. Still very youthful and primary, I'd try to give it another year in bottle and then drink it over the next 12-14 years+.
